What begins in words ends in emotion
Share
This is how I begin every painting: I write a sentence.
It’s usually something that’s been circling in my head for a while, something I need to say, even if no one else ever sees it. This one started with:
“You wanted my love to break us down.”
I paint the words directly onto the canvas. It’s raw, emotional, imperfect and that’s the point. They become the first layer, the emotional core. From there, I cover the sentence, not to erase it, but to let it evolve into something visual.
This is how I translate thought into form. How I turn something personal into something visual, and leave space for others to find their own meaning in it.
